E.F.P.A. (European Former Players’Association) has a new website. The Everton Former Players’ Foundation are founder members of the Association after attending the first meeting of EFPA in 2004.

EFPA was formed in Barcelona in December 2004, following an idea of FC Barcelona former player Ramon Alfonseda, with the idea of embracing all European veteran former players´ associations under one umbrella.

In these eight years, 15 former players associations have joined us. Further, EFPA has helped to create thre federations of former players: FEAFV (Spain), AIC-Dipartimento Senior (Italy) and PSBP (Poland). CFPA (Czech Republic) and Players United (The Netherlands) have also joined us. This federations are formed by many former players associations and/ or individual former players. Since 2012, we have the support of FIFPro and work closely with: AFE (Spain), AIC (Italy), SJPF (Portugal) and PFA (England) on projects for and with former players.

During this eight years has also organized four congresses that counted with the participation of important names in football. Among the legends that attended the EFPA´s congresses are Arrigo Sacchi, Josep Guardiola, Emilio Butragueño, Bobby Charlton, Alfredo Di Stefano, Paulo Sousa, John B. Toshack, Terry Venables, etc.
